As a mechanical HVAC designer, one can not be the master of all subject matters. That being said, it is important to be well rounded. I will be posting a series of articles covering motors which can be found on this page. Additionally, equipment that comprise motor systems will be covered. Luckily, there are many great resources out there since induction motors have been around for a long time. Besides technical information published by motor manufacturers, the U.S. Department of Energy has published many publications that are a great resource the HVAC designer.
